Privacy notice

This notice explains what information [FORMIQ legal name] (“FORMIQ”, “we”) collects through this website, why, and how we look after it. We collect as little as we can.

When you send us your idea

The inquiry form asks for:

• your name;
• whether the site is for a business you run, one you’re starting, or a personal project, and optionally its name and city;
• your idea in your own words, the kind of business it’s closest to, features you want, and a link to a current site or one you like (all optional except the idea);
• how you’d like us to reply, and the email address or phone number for that.

If you look your business up on Google Maps in the form, the search goes through our server to Google. We keep only Google’s place ID and the name and city you confirm. Use of Google Maps is subject to Google’s privacy policy.

If you choose “Copy the text” or open the message in your email or messages app, nothing is sent to us until you send it yourself from that app.

Kept on your device

To save you retyping, the site remembers your idea, chosen features and kind of business in your browser’s local storage for up to 14 days. Your name, email and phone number are never stored there. “Start fresh” in the form clears it, and so does sending the form.

Client accounts

If we agree on a project, we create an account for you with your email address. You sign in with a one-time link we email you; there’s no password. A single cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Your account holds your sites, approvals, change requests and the files you attach, and only you and the FORMIQ team can see them.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep a record of invoices and payments, and Stripe’s customer and subscription identifiers. Stripe’s handling of your data is described in its privacy policy.

The assistant

If you chat with the assistant on the site, your messages are sent to our AI provider [Anthropic] to generate replies, and kept in your browser during the conversation. We keep only usage counts, not the conversation, unless you move the summary into the form and send it. Please don’t share sensitive personal information in the chat.

Collected automatically

To protect forms from abuse we store a one-way hash of your IP address (not the address itself), your browser’s user-agent and the page you sent the form from. This site has no advertising or analytics trackers.

How we use it

• to read your request, reply, and prepare an estimate if you ask for one;
• to run your project and client account, and to bill you if we work together;
• to send emails you’d expect: a confirmation, sign-in links, and updates about your project;
• to keep the site secure and prevent spam.

We don’t sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.

Service providers

We use providers to run the site: hosting [Vercel], a database [provider], email delivery [Resend], payments [Stripe], business lookup [Google Maps Platform] and the assistant [Anthropic]. They process data only to provide their service to us.

How long we keep it

Inquiries that don’t lead to a project are deleted after [12 months]. Client records are kept for the length of our work together and any period required for tax and accounting records [period].

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show, correct, export or delete your information. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights. To ask, reply to any email from us or send us a message and mention your reference if you have one.

Security

Data is sent over HTTPS. Sign-in links work once and expire after 15 minutes. Only hashes of sign-in tokens and session identifiers are stored. Files are checked when uploaded and only offered for download to you and the team. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children

This site is for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
